Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what data the Diksha Discord bot ("the Bot") collects and how it is used.

1. What Data We Collect

2. How We Use This Data

Message content is sent to third-party AI providers (xAI's Grok, Google's Gemini, and/or OpenRouter, used as fallback options to keep the Bot reliable) to generate a conversational response. Your user ID, language preference, and recent conversation history are stored to personalize replies and maintain context across conversations, and are not linked to any other personal information such as your real name or email.

3. Data Storage

Conversation history and language preferences are stored persistently in a local data file so that the Bot can remember context across sessions and restarts. This data is limited to your Discord user ID, your chosen language, and a short rolling history of recent exchanges (the last few messages only — older messages are automatically discarded). We do not maintain a full, permanent log of everything you've ever said to the Bot.

4. Third-Party Services

Message content is processed by the following third-party AI providers to generate responses:

Please refer to each provider's privacy policy for details on how they handle data sent to their APIs.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell or share your data with any third party other than the AI providers listed above, which are necessary to generate the Bot's responses.

6. Your Rights

You may stop interacting with the Bot at any time. If you would like your stored conversation history or language preference deleted, you may contact the Bot's developer (via the support server) to request removal.

7. Contact

For questions about this Privacy Policy, please contact the server owner where the Bot is used, or reach out via the Bot's support server.
